Amazon.co.uk Review If you like your humour broadside up, hold the subtlety, you'll want to nurse this Hangover with your best mates. The ensemble cast meshes perfectly--it's like a super-R-rated episode of Friends: silly, slapstick, and completely in the viewer's face. When four pals go to Vegas to celebrate the imminent nuptials of one of them, they partake in a rooftop toast to "a night we'll never forget." But they're in for a big surprise: their celebration drinks were laced with date-rape drugs, so when they awake in their hotel room 12 hours later, not only are they hung over, but they can't remember what they did all night long. Oh, and they're missing the groom-to-be. The film is so cheerfully raunchy, so fiercely crude, that the humour becomes as intoxicating as the mind-altering substances. The standout in the ensemble is Zach Galifianakis, who is alternately creepy and hilarious. Ed Helm (The Office), in addition to his memory, loses a tooth in uncomfortably realistic fashion, and Bradley Cooper (He's Just Not That into You) has deadpan comic timing that whips along at the speed of light. "Ma'am, you have an incredible rack," he blares to a pedestrian from the squad car the guys have "borrowed." "I should have been a [bleeping] cop," he tells himself approvingly. Director Todd Phillips brings back his deft handling of the actors and the dude humour that worked so well in Old School, as well as the unctuous Dan Finnerty, memorable as a lounge/wedding singer in both films. But it's the nonstop volley of jokes--most cheerily politically incorrect--that grabs the audience and thrashes it around the hotel room. Just watch out for the tiger in the bathroom. --A.T. Hurley

| Customer Reviews: The best ever hangover! May 5, 2010 A. Tyrer (England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When you think of a hangover you usually think of feeling awful, having a headache, feeling sick and not remembering a thing from the night before. Well this is all of that and more, this is one hangover you wont regret.
Fantastic film, unbeliavably funny and looks great in HD on Blu Ray.
Well worth buying.

I honestly don't know how people can give this film any less than 4 star's.... I can only imagine that that just don't have a sense of humour !! This is one of the best comedies I have seen, And would easily say my favourite comedy :-) And if your a fan of the actors involved, then you will definitely enjoy this film.... I had jaw ache once it had finished, loved it 100% worth the money...
The Hangover review May 19, 2010 Mr. James Cathcart (Scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first time I watched it on my own, it didn't seem to be anything special but the second time with a friend it seemed much better.
Good harmless humour May 4, 2010 S. D. A. Reid (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I watched this film on Sky t.v. and totally enjoyed it. When it was released on DVD I decided to add it to my collection. I can't believe so many things could happen in one night! Loved this film and totally enjoyed it from start to finish.
Or how the lads got away with it July 21, 2009 haunted (IRELAND) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
If belly laughs are what you are after there are plenty of them in this
film. The plot is simple. Four lads go to Vegas for a stag night. The
following morning their room is a mess and the groom is missing. And
they have no memory of the night before. They have to retrace their
steps to find the groom before the wedding the following day. That
sounds like a routine "Gross Out" comedy, which in many ways it is. An alternative title might be "how the lads got away with acting the eejit in Vegas for a night"
Most of the characters are straight out of clichés, the hen pecked
nerd, the married guy who wants to cut loose for once and the groom who
wants to have a good time but not overdo things so soon before the
wedding. There are some very funny scenes and unexpected plot twists to
keep your attention.
Undoubtedly for me the highlight of the performance of Zach
Galifianakis as the brother-in-law to be. He is subtle and very funny
as the unclichéd and downright weird Alan. He also gets the best
conversation stopping one-liners.
I'd recommend this to a mainly male audience. The female characters
aren't developed at all and are there only to move the plot along. A shocking waste of the lovely Heather Graham unfortunately.
So it's not Shakespeare but I laughed a lot.
