Incredibly funny + gorgeous guys = Best Gay Film Ever! October 19, 2006 Mike 21 (Liverpool, England) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
I'm going to keep this really brief. This is one of the funniest films i've ever seen, if you like the sound of it then you will DEFINITELY love it. If you're not sure, buy it, you won't be disappointed! I promise you'll have a smile on your face for hours after watching this film. The cute guys are just the icing on the cake!
C'est magnifique!!! January 21, 2007 K. I. Quintyne (Dublin , IRELAND) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is a briliant comedy of errors... or should i erreurs!!! It allowed me the joys of turning offthe subtitles and watching it in french - and get the sublty of the jokes, after having to watch it about three times... none the less, it was well worth the effort to jog my french... It tells a great twisted tale of how easy it is to get a situation totally wrong... but making the wrong assumptions within a small rather dysfunctional family... a father with a skeleton in his closet (pardon the pun), a mother having a sordid and torrid affair, an odd and absent daughter, a sexually confused son and a rampant gay best friend - just to make things truly complex. The twist is the tale comes near the end - and I wont allude to, less i ruin the plot. Defo worth multiple viewing!!!
Feel Good Film July 5, 2007 Carl Patrick (England) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My partner and I both really enjoyed this film. It's fun and quite heart-warming, well-acted and entertaining without being over-dramatic or contrived. Very enjoyable and well worth watching.
This is not a gay movie: it's a funny movie November 7, 2008 A. J. Ward (UK) It is so annoying that Amazon file this film under 'gay & lesbian' when it is a comedy. Yes, there are gay scenes, but essentially it explores the different aspects of a family on holiday when 'things happen' and secrets surface. It is a funny film, typically French, I think with a, yes OK, somewhat camp ending. Enjoy the film.
