Firstly let me apologise for dashing anyones hopes that this movie maybe anything on the 'looks like a watchable cheap trashy zombie movie' which i thought it was. I was thinking hey it cant be worse than the ROTLD4... Guess again.
Okay, so what sort of films do i like? I LOVE horror, and my fave films are zombie films, and i am willing to forgive ALOT of poor plot & acting because hey its a zombie film right? All we want is a quiet friday night in watching a film that may be funny and gory.
Sorry.. this is the worst kind of tripe i have ever watched, and i have seen some stinkers. The 4th film was real bad but this is worse.
Film synopsis - Set in USA, Government scientist from 4th film has escaped with 3 of the Tri-Oxin canisters containing the melted zombies from film 1 (they re-occur each film as im sure you know). He meets 'Inter-Pol' officers who, for some reason want to buy the canisters because they think they will get a 'crystal' and a trip to disney land from their boss the general. (not sure what sort of rank inter-pol has these days with Generals in charge giving out free gifts...) The inter-pol officers are btw Romanian dressed like they have come from a funeral with really bad scripts, accents and acting.
They dont believe that the canisters are real so the scientist has to prove it by waking up some corpses. Needless to say all die but 2 of the interpol agents.
Next,Nephew of the now dead scientist decides to look through his deceased uncles house and finds 2 more canisters of tri-oxin. He doesnt know what they are so takes them to a 'nerd' friend of his to investigate. His nerdy friend thinks its liquid drugs inside (i know..)and drains the zombie juice out and makes them into tablets and sells them to the whole campus...
(sigh) later most of the campus starts a rave in the middle of nowhere and they turn into zombies. The zombie in the tank that they made drugs from escapes and looking like the original slimy zombies attacks the newphew and his gf, the inter-pol officers turn up and tell them they have to shoot zombies in the head to kill them. That is of course why they shoot it in its chest straight away and presume its dead when it falls over..
The zombie escapes and (get this) writes himself a sign 'Rave or Bust' and stands with it by the side of the road and country & western music plays...(no idea on that one)
As with all classics inter-pol have instant artillery in the boot of their jeep (including rocket launchers) and hand out guns to kids to kill the zombies(as you do).
The police turn up and (they have missiles on police helicopters now) nukes the rave blowing up the whole area in one shot.
Hmm.. summing up its TERRIBLE!! Do not buy or rent this awful thing. Its shot in USA but has mainly romanian actors with SOME voices dubbed over by american actors. Why? I HAVE NO IDEA! Why not use american actors? must be too expensive.
It's worse than a low budget tv film, but surprisingly the only thing it has going for it is the sfx and sets arent bad! Thats the only thing i can say for it, the acting is some of the worst i have seen.. honestly.
I hope you dont waste 1 hour and 25 mins of your life like i did,ty for listening to my rant :P
