Amazon.co.uk Review The second series of hospital-based sitcom Scrubs sees young doctor J.D. with a bit more experience under his belt, but very little more common sense. Together with his best friend Turk, on-off girlfriend Elliot, and various other hospital dwellers (most notably John C. McGinley's grumpy Dr Cox) J.D. learns yet more lessons about life and love, all the while narrating his wacky adventures in a way that you'll either warm to or get really, really irritated by.Guest stars include Heather Locklear, Dick van Dyke and Ryan Reynolds, but Zach Braff is the real star of the show, and his wide-eyed puppy dog demeanour makes the inept J.D. endearing, in spite of his failings. Season 2 of Scrubs sees him juggling complications in both the personal and professional arenas as his career progresses, though this doesn't stop him indulging in frequently surreal and elaborate fantasies. Though Scrubs will never be E.R., it doesn't try to be; Scrubs is warmer and sillier, though the laughs never get in the way of its several heartfelt moments. The overall package is a little too polished and round-cornered to ever be particularly edgy or hard-hitting, but if you're just after a warm-hearted comedy, you could do a lot worse. -- Sarah Dobbs

Scrubs is better than love November 2, 2005 Mr. S. Cole (uk) 20 out of 23 found this review helpful
The funniest show I've seen. While you watch a comedy and know that there's a lot of humour flying around, sometimes I can't help but feel its forced, and while I smile, I rarely laugh. Scrubs is so natural. It makes you laugh because it's not afraid to be itself. There's a variety of characters who know how to work together as a unit to hit punchlines and whatnot.I even started to like Carla this series! Please make more programmes like this, Mister.Programme-maker thing. You know who you are.
My new favourite comedy December 27, 2005 18 out of 20 found this review helpful
22 episodes of absolute genious, not one episode is boring and the storylines are original and well fulfilled. "My T.C.W." is my favourite episode, funny and deep. It reaches out to everybody as we have all been in a similar situation, perhaps not the extreme of a coma patient's wife, but we've been there. 5/5 easily, they walked it and I can't wait for series 3 to come out on DVD.

This is the greatest sit-com of all time. It manages to put together some of the funniest scenes I can think of with some of the most honest and truely sad feelings as well. Buy it. Now.
Srubs, the best thing to come out of america since...ever September 3, 2005 Paul (London, England United Kingdom) 14 out of 17 found this review helpful
scrub is nothing like any American comedy because its just genuis, and there nothing like watching a couple of episodes with a good mate of yours. if you are a fan of friends because of the comedy then watch this, it isnt pure stupidity comedy as some may say there ARE story lines that go over several episodes, the comedy vary from slap stick to black comedy and complete randomness which you'll never expect. plus my favorite episode is in this seriesactors are the best and none can ever replace 'em. loved the first series? loved that one episode you caught on channel 4/sky? well BUY!!! scrubs, solid 5/5 (maybe 6/5?)
