Absolutely FantasticNovember 11, 2004 Richard Brink 85 out of 88 found this review helpful
Jimmy Carr is very very good at being very very bad: his jokes are cruel and poke fun at everyone you can think of but his charm and delivery make each one-liner a classic. The humour reminds me in places of Derek and Clive and of Mark Thomas' Sex Filth and Religion set - if you like those, you'll probably love this. Although not quite a traditional stand-up gig the show runs smoothly and each of the segments go well together: The small ads section of the show is particularly amusing and it certainly brightened up my day. The special features are good - his Variety Performance in particular: although he still uses much of the same material, his delivery has certainly improved over the years. As for the dvd, the menu's are good and the special features well thought out with Jimmy's voice over the entire thing and some great art design. All in all a great show, well packaged and a very funny man. Highly recommended.
Jimmy as funny as a Carr crashApril 13, 2005 Hob(england, london, kingston) 10 out of 67 found this review helpful
Jimmy Carr is someone who thinks he is very claver when actually he's as intelligent as a bowl of dead sparrows. If you like your jokes unfunny then Carr is your man. No one should help this guy gain any more publicity than he has, which is far too much already. Don't buy this, for the sake of us all!
It's superb. Don't miss this for the world!January 11, 2005 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Christmas 2004 saw two highly succesful comedians battle it out in the DVD market. The fantastic Ricky Gervais versus the fantastic Jimmy Carr and the verdict is there is no winner. Jimmy Carr makes a superb DVD debut and his stand up act is superb. The extra features are merely a break down of the show rather that added material but the actual stand up is the part that counts. Jimmy's foul mouth but witty charm combine perfectly creating a superbly funny act. Highly recommended.

I didn't think this was funny, hes a plain boring person. He kind of just stands there making bland jokes about things that arnt really that funny. His act is that he dresses and speaks like a polite gentleman, but talks about how he is actually quite "naughty". Me, my girlfreind or her brother didn't really laugh. Go buy Jack Dee, Billy Connolly or something else.
