We've waited a long time for the complete collection, but it's definately worth the wait. This is a classic series, so buy it!!!.
I Love It April 27, 2005 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
I'm only 18 so I'm not really old enough to have watched it when it was originally on TV. However, I saw a few episodes on UK Gold and I was hooked. It was and is the funniest show I have ever seen! I was so pleased to see that this box set was available with every single episode on it and I had to buy it. Every single episode that I have seen has left me in stitches. The fact that they are quite old makes it even funnier!Buy it, it is better than any comedy around today.
sherr quality May 9, 2004 21 out of 25 found this review helpful
From the first moment you turn this charming dvd on, you will be embraced into a truly wonderful place. Michael Crawfords fantastic portrayal of one man disaster area Frank Spencer is truly something to feel truly humbled by, even the smallest facial expression will have you in stitches for hours. definetly worth the money
Classic British comedy February 23, 2005 Mr. Shane Porter (Manchester) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
I remember 'Some mothers' from my childhood with fond memories, and whilst some of the slapstick humuor has tired with age (probably I'm turning into a miserable old git), it's still classic British comedy that's raised more than the odd smile.Obviously this is a personal opinion, and there may be some others who detest this style of humour, but one episode on Series 2 (Public relations) made me cry with laughter the other day. Nothing has done that for quite a while, and for that reason, it's getting five stars.
Classic Comedy at it's best. February 16, 2006 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
If you like a good laugh then is for you. This is Classic British comedy at it's best and there simply isn't anything around these days that even remotely comes close. Every episode is a cracker. Michael Crawford is funny without even trying. Which makes a change from a lot of modern actors who just try soooo hard and still don't cut the mustard. Apart from Only Fools and Horses, it's one of the very few comedies from this period or any other period that will truly stand the test of time. Buy It!
