Amazon.co.uk Review When a remote Mexican oilfield comes down with a nasty case of Graboids (for the uninitiated: giant carnivorous worms with tunnelling abilities that put Bugs Bunny to shame), it is up to those veteran monster exterminators Burt and Earl to save the day--and accumulate some much-needed payola in the process. But this time, the slimy critters may have a few new tricks up their ... um, sleeves. Although denied a chance to appear in the cinema, this unjustly neglected direct-to-video sequel delivers the same winning mixture of cornpone and gore that made the original Tremors a cult classic. Although Kevin Bacon is missing, Michael Gross and the wonderful Fred Ward reprise their roles from the first film. A hoot-and-a-half for horror and SF fans, Tremors 2 has some genuine scares and a welcome sense of humour. The DVD, presented in 1.85:1 widescreen format, has trailers for both movies but no other extra features. --Andrew Wright

Classic American Trash June 16, 2001 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
Tremors the movie was and still is a classic. Its one of those movies that surprises you with its humour even though it looks at times like it should have been released straight to video. The special affects are nothing special but who cares. Tremors 2 is a surprise as well. We are minus Kevin Bacon this time but despite an almost carbon copy story line there are a few twists and some Humour from Fred Ward (Remo Unarmed And Dangerous) which will have you falling of your seat. Both films woul individually warrant only 4 Stars but together this is a five star package.
Crash, bang, dollop! March 21, 2000 21318.quinn@virginnet.co.uk (United Kingdom) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Fred Ward is back fighting Graboids again. No Kevin Bacon but the new sidekick - Christopher Gartin fills the gap as the partner who does not have a clue. He's also a fan of Earl Bassett(Ward) after reading about his original exploits in magazines. Michael Gross steals the show as gun-slinging Burt Gummer, whose marriage to Heather fell apart after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Arriving in Mexico in response to Earl's call for help Burt systematically blows up every Graboid he comes across until the monsters start evolving and getting smarter. As well as making it much harder to deal with the new-style Graboids it lends the film an edge as the heroes adapt to the new monster. As for the finale, to quote Burt - "It's not far enough. It's gonna be BIG!"
A Worthy Sequel January 19, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although lacking Kevin Bacon, this sequel does it again with the enjoyable repartee between the characters - especially Earl (Fred Ward) and Burt (Michael Gross). There are many funny scenes and there is an air of originality about it (for a sequel!). It doesn't want to rest on its predecessor's laurels and different ideas keep springing up to good effect. The CGI work (up to a par with Starship Troopers) is not overdone and the director obvioiusly knows when model work is best. Funny and with scenes to make you jump - a worthy sequel to Tremors :-)

Tremors 2 -Aftershocks May 2, 2003 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I absolutely loved tremors depsite its rather dodgy effects (although it was made as a B-Movie) and so i had to see this. Its not as funny as the original but its just as enjoyable. whats good about this as a sequel is that it hasnt just churned up more of the same but instead its focused on something else -shriekers. ill say no more incase anybody hasnt seen it but most of you will. I would give it 5 out of 5 if id only seen this one but because i thought tremors was better i cant give it as good a rating.
